Big- Bazaar once again selected six MBA students of Baba Farid Group of Institutions for Live Project

Opportunities multiply as they are seized; they die when neglected.-JOHN WICKER

Some people just wait for opportunities to come at their door but some detect the opportunities in outer world. A slight difference in the approach and perspective makes enormous difference in professional career. To provide a plethora of opportunities to our students and to make the learning process more interactive, the BFGI has made live projects an integral part of its curriculum. It is a very unique initiative wherein all the students will have to compulsorily undertake projects. Recently, Big Bazaar- the largest hypermarket chain in India has once again selected six students of MBA at BFGI for live project in the customer handling department. It is worth mentioning that 22 students of MBA 2nd year had already completed one week live project in Big-Bazaar last year. Two students (Dinesh Singh and Rijak Kumar) of MBA are lucky to be chosen for continuous training cum Job opportunity at Big Bazaar after their college hours.

Dr. Manish Bansal-Director Principal, BFCMT said, “It is a very unique initiative in itself and a major milestone in the growth path of institute. Live Projects play a pivotal role in the learning process and facilitate the flow of theoretical concepts towards application in real life situations. It is very rare that the students get opportunities to work parallel to studies. We feel pride to announce that 6 more students have successfully completed the 3 day live project (24th January to 26th January) followed by 22 having completed last year. They had successfully handled the various departments like: customer handling, store operations and back end processes etc. Our students were once again assigned a project of customer handling wherein they were directly dealing with customers.”

S. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal- Managing Director, Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) said, “We had started this institution with the prime objective of spreading quality education coupled with state of the art facilities. Our Research and Development team has been continuously working to establish collaborations and tie-ups with public & private organizations. On the parallel lines regular industrial visits and Expert lectures from Industry and Academia are also being organized for them from time to time. The MBA students have already experienced the Expert lecturers in the various fields of management studies from the faculty of IIM, like Prof. Dr. Dwarika Prasad Uniyal (IIM Kashipur), Prof. Dr. Prakash Singh (IIM Luckhnow) and Dr. Anoop R Ohri (Visiting faculty from IIM Rohtak).  Once again I would like to congratulate those 6 students and wish them all the best in the future. We believe that all these initiatives are complementary to accomplish our objective of providing 100 % placements to our MBA and B.Tech students. We are quite optimistic that by providing this kind of practical exposure to our students we are definitely going to achieve this objective”.
