It was only one week back when Muskan Power & Infrastructure had offered jobs to 4 MBA students of Baba Farid College of Management & Technology. Having 28 students already placed in leading companies like Bajaj Capital, Aggarwal Packers & Movers Ltd and Max Growth Capital the institute has got 14more students placed in prestigious Axis Bank Limited. Moreover, placement drives by leading organizations like Bonanza Portfolio Ltd, Magic Holidays, WNS Holdings have also been lined up in the forthcoming weeks.
The recruitment process of the bank included Aptitude Test having four sections namely: Quantitative, Verbal Ability, General Reasoning and Computer Knowledge. As many as 63 students appeared fully packed up with enthusiasm and zeal to crack the online test out of which 37 could make to the next round. The shortlisted students were called for panel interview at the company’s office in Malout on 5th March, 2014. The students, fully charged up with enthusiasm and confidence, reached at the venue. The panel asked the technical questions from various fields i.e. Human Resources, Marketing and Finance etc. The panel really appreciated the level of understanding of students with regards to the latest developments in the Business World and especially the Banking and Financial Services. They also appreciated the way students quoted the examples from the routine life and established a connection with the theoretical aspects and finally selected 14 students namely: Aadesh, Amandeep Singh, Gagandeep Kaur, Gourav Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Isha Mehra, Jaspreet Kaur, Jyoti Garg, Kulwinder Singh,Mohit, Pargat Singh, Rijak Kumar, Satinder Jeet Kaur, Sukhjinder Singh. Dr. Manish Bansal- Director Principal BFCMT congratulated the students, Head of the Department as well as the Faculty members for this marvelous achievement. He mentioned, “The most important role which an educational institute has to play is to manage the transition from student to professional manager. At BFCMT, we have been consistently focusing on this aspect with the prime objective of overall development of students. We have tried to redefine the process of learning by introducing the unique teaching methodologies and the “Employability Scorecard” to continuously assess the strengths and weaknesses of our students on different parameters. To sharpen their skill set we focus primarily on trainings and seminars on personality development and communication skills. On the parallel lines regular industrial visits and guest lectures are also organized for them from time to time. I believe that all these initiatives are complementary to accomplish our objective of providing 100 % placements to our MBA and B.Tech students. We are quite optimistic that by providing this kind of practical exposure to our students we are definitely going to achieve this objective”.
Once again I would like to congratulate those 14 students and wish them all the best in the future.”
