Baba Farid Group of Institutions believes in the
ideology of providing the practical and theoretical knowledge side by side. The
promise of providing this practical exposure is kept through arranging expert
lectures and workshops, Industrial visits , Job Fairs, live projects, On Job
Trainings and earn while learn policy of BFGI. So for providing the live
experience to its students Baba Farid College has started the various
industrial visits to different destinations for the students of different
streams according to the requirements of their curriculum. In the last few
days, the industrial visits were arranged for BBA and B.com students. The
visits started with the students of BBA 1st Semester who visited
KRBL Ltd, Bhasaur (Dhuri). KRBL Ltd.
which exports Basmati Rice under the brands India Gate, Noor Jahan etc is a
famous industry of the area. All the 53 students under the supervision of their
faculty members, Mr. Harjinder Singh and
Ms. Shellyka met the Head of their Production Department who divided the
students into 8 different groups
consisting of 7 students in each, under the co-ordination of expert guides who guided the students regarding the
working of production and maintenance of KRBL Ltd. Similarly the students of BBA semester 3rd
along with two faculty members, Mr. Arjun and Ms. Niti Sharma visited the
GOBIND COACH BUILDERS, founded in the year 1989, GC BUILDERS is a
company engaged into manufacturing passenger vehicles and special vehicles such
as Buses, A/c Coaches, Mini Buses, Micro Buses, Mobile Book Stores, School
Buses, and Sleeper Coaches etc.
The students also visited the Bathinda Lake Club, on the same day.
Third in the row is the Industrial Visit to Ludhiana Stock Exchange which was specially arranged for the students of B.com keeping in mind the requirements of their curriculum. Total 53 students of B.com Prof Semester 3rd accompanied by two of their faculty members named Ms. Sandhya and Mr. Hardev Singh visited the Stock exchange, where they were greeted by Mr. Sadhu Ram, Head Training dept. Who not only provided the students with extensive and informative experience of the working of the stock exchange through a lecture but also gave them knowledge about the new trends in the stock market. Dr. Manish Bansal, Deputy Director Academics, BFGI praised the efforts of Training and Placement Department of BFGI, which as a special wing is continuously arranging the visits and job fairs for the students in order to deal with the problem of un employability among the students these days. Dr. Bansal proudly said that the students of BFGI are the most employable in the area as they are provided with the practical knowledge with the conceptual studies.
