Baba Farid College Organized Industrial visits for Students of Commerce and Banking

  An industrial visit for students is an essential element to enhance their practical knowledge along with their study. Department of BBA, Department of Insurance and banking and the Department of commerce organized the industrial visit to “RELIANCE LIFE INSURANCE” at Bathinda. .The students visited this Life Insurance Company accompanied by faculty members Mrs. Namandeep Kaur Brar and Ms. Ruchika. The students met Clustered Training Manager Mr. Neeraj who gave them important information regarding the functioning of the insurance units. He conveyed information related to insurance and banking. He conveyed knowledgeable information related to approximate estimate of 25 banks/ insurance companies that would come in Jan 2014.He told them about the need and Scope of Insurance, Child Plans and Policies of Reliance. He also solves Queries of Students regarding Insurance plans and Policies. Mr. Neeraj also told students about tie- up of Reliance with Life Japan. Then all the students gave a token of thanks to their Clustered Training Manager Mr. Neeraj. In this one day visit students enjoyed a lot. It was really a valuable and knowledgeable visit for students as well as for teachers.

Similarly the students of B.com 5th Semester also visited the BCL industries, Bathinda to gain the practical inputs, accompanied by the Faculty members of B.com- Ms. Manpreet, Mr. Sanjay Sharma and Mr. Randhir Grover .BCL industries is the Famous industry in the Bathinda Region and the students got the important and unforgettable experience from such visits. The other unit of the company which deals in distilleries was visited by the other group of Students of B.com (Professional) situated at Sangat Kalan with Faculty members Ms. Sakshi and Ashish Kumar. The students had a first experience to visit the site where liquor is manufactured. They were keen to know the manufacturing process. The company officials welcomed the students and enjoyed the company of their fellows on the way to the sites. The visits are a break in the routine work of the students where they get the information about the practicality of the theoretical concepts.
