MBAs of Baba Farid College of Management and Technology (BFCMT) successfully completed Live Project at Big Bazaar

BFCMT, which is very uniquely placed in terms of its infrastructure and interactive teaching facilities, has come up with a unique initiative of live projects for its students. This can be witnessed from the live project offered by Big Bazaar- the largest hypermarket chain in India to the students of BFCMT. The project was undertaken by 22 students of MBA 2nd year at different locations of retail chain for one week (9th August, 2013 -15th August, 2013) during the “sabse saste chheh din”at Big Bazaar, Bathinda. During the project, the students were engaged into functions like Customer dealing, Customer relations management, Store operations and back end processes. The company was really impressed with the zeal and eagerness of students to learn the applications. All the 22 students were given certifications for successfully completing the live project. Out of 22 students, 5 were honored by Big Bazaar Officials for their worthy performance. These kinds of activities will not only boost up the morale of students who had participated, but also the students who had not participated. It helps them in recognizing the need of live projects to mould the career as per the requirements of corporate. It is worth mentioning that the Big bazaar officials offered another opportunity to MBA faculty and students to give their inputs to redesign the apparel section.
